Year 3 Learning Conversation - Measurement

In Maths this week, we have been measuring the length of different objects in mm, cm and m.

Can you find a ruler or tape measure at home and begin to measure the length of different items. You could create a table that shows objects longer than 1m and objects shorter than a 1m. Or you could draw the objects and put their measurements beside them. You could even have fun trying to find the biggest and smallest objects in your house!

Extension - You could show the measurement in more than one form.

For example,

16cm 5mm = 165mm

1m 32cm = 132cm

46mm = 4cm 6mm
