As part of the school's Environment Week, we are looking to get families involved as well.

We are promoting three special days, which we hope you can help get involved in!

Walk, Bike or Scoot to School Wednesday - Let's try and reduce those carbon emissions and make a difference by using our legs or wheels to get us to school on Wednesday. Dust off the bike, locate that scooter or even wake up earlier and begin the big walk in! You could even arrange to share lifts to reduce the amount of cars on the road.

Low Energy Thursday - Do you need all those lights and appliances on? On Low Energy Thursday, try switching off those televisions, turning off the lights and getting outside to enjoy our wonderful world. We will be doing this in school too.

Reduce/Reuse/Recycle Friday - If your child has lunches, is there anyway you could look to reduce the amount of plastic packaging, especially those single use plastics? We will be looking to re-use and reduce the amount of waste we produce in school, and lunchboxes are a great place to start.

Throughout the week your children will also be taking part in a wildlife survey, conducting a litter-pick in the Axbridge Community and learning more about the impact of plastics and how we can reduce their usage.
