Welcome to Axbridge C of E Academy!

This school has been on this site since 1849, when the land was gifted by the Marquis of Bath for the benefit of the local residents. Since then, the building has expanded in 1992 to include 6 classrooms and nursery provision for 2 -4 year olds, yet has stayed true to its vision of ensuring all of our children enjoy ‘a life in all its fullness’. In 2012, as an Outstanding school , we academised, and then became a founding member of the Wessex Learning Trust, now one of the most successful MAT trusts in the South West.

At present we have 185 pupils within the main school and nursery. We are always welcoming of new starters and we are confident that once you have visited you’ll know why this school has such a positive and well-earned reputation.
