Year 3 Learning conversation: Research detectives

We are going to set a challenge for the Christmas holidays. We would like the children to create an information booklet or poster about light. The challenge is to present the information in an interesting way. Below is a list of questions for the children to research and find answers to, though you can investigate any areas of interest around the topic ‘light’.

Can you name some sources of light?

How is light made? Are there different types of light?

How does light travel?

How do we see light?

What happens when light is blocked by an object?

It would be great to draw some pictures and diagrams to support your information.
